MINUTES

Vestry Regular Meeting

Thursday, September 13, 2007

Members Present: Father Mark Cannaday, Father Andy Powell, Bill Granberry, Sr. Warden; Anne Hover, clerk; Bill Wallace, Lea Crump, Julie Harvey, Chip Smith, Bill Holmes, Lucia Gray, Marilyn Allen.

Members unable to Attend: Carol Armstrong, Terry Staub.

Father Mark called the meeting to order at 5:30.

The vestry shared with each other their personal updates.

Father Mark presented the Bible reading from John Chapter 10.

The minutes of the August meeting were approved as printed.

Angela Stevens, Treasurer presented the financials, see attached.

Karen Parnell, Children’s Day Out Director reported on the CDO program, see attached.

Father Mark reported:

	That Karen Parnell has been hired as the new Children’s Ministry Director. Marilyn Allen moved to ratify Karen Parnell as the Director of the Children’s Ministry at a salary of $2,000 per month effective September 1, 2007. The motion was seconded and passed.
	That Father Andy has resigned and has accepted a position as Associate Rector at Christ Church Midland.
	That Debra Chester has been conducting Visioning meetings for the Parish. Father Mark is aware of the meetings and has given his consent.
	Ways to meet the Diocesan apportionment were discussed.

Bill Granberry, Sr. Warden:

Has approached a parishioner to be the Chancellor.

Suggested that we have a called special vestry meeting after the September 30 deadline for the House of Bishops. The Called Special meeting will be announced at a later date.

Reporting for the Junior Warden, announced that we will receive $5,500 from the Insurance for the flood damage.

Tom Warden is scheduled to repair the broken kneelers

Bill Wallace reported on Holy Trinity’s Insurance. Chip Smith moved to buy a one million dollar Umbrella Policy at the cost of $1500.00. The motion was seconded and passed.

Next Scheduled Meeting: Agenda Setting: October 4; Regular Meeting: October 18

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:10PM.
