Prayer is at the heart of Christianity
,
because at the heart of
Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ. Prayer is the primary way in which we
develop this relationship, since prayer is conversation with Him. Holy Trinity desires to
be a community of pray-ers. Closely linked with prayer is healing. Jesus healed, and he
told his disciples to do the same, and they did so. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that
healing was confined to any period of history. Rather, we should expect God to continue to
heal miraculously today as part of His Kingdom activity.

Daughters
of the King
Meeting each month, DOK is a religious order for lay or
ordained women in the Episcopal Church, committed to daily prayer, service, and
evangelism. There is also a "junior division" for girls, who share the same
Rules of Prayer and Service as senior members, and whose mission it is to spread
Christs Kingdom among their female peers.

Weekday Healing
Services
On Monday evenings at 5:15pm Holy Trinity offers public services of healing with the laying on of
hands and anointing (Holy Unction). Our healing ministry is grounded in our Lords
own healing ministry and that which the apostles exercised in his name. The healing
services our offered as part of the service of Holy Eucharist, since our clergy feels that
the sacrament of healing is best placed in the context of the Paschal Mystery. Healing
unites the sick person with Jesus in his suffering and death, and thereby also in his
resurrection. The anointing of the sick is the sacrament of resurrection and life in Christ.
