The Vineyard of Prayer O My child, the days are fraught with burdens that need to be borne upon the shoulders of faithful prayer warriors. Where are the ones who are willing to make themselves available to the Spirit for this ministry? Lo, I say, the Word sown shall dry up like carelessly strewn seed if it be not watered with tears of intercession. Ye cannot in yourself lay this ministry upon thy soul, but ye CAN make room in thy life for time apart with Me; and as ye place thyself at the disposal of the Holy Spirit, He shall use thee as a channel when the needs arise. Nothing is more needful at this present hour than prayer power in full operation, under the direction and in the unction of the Holy Spirit. I am calling My Spirit-filled believers to concerted and concentrated labor in this, the vineyard of prayer. Hidden from the eye of man, it is wide open to heaven; and the saints in heaven join with you in this operation of the love of God. Other ministries ye must carry on yourselves alone, but in this ye have a mutual fellowship, for those in heaven have also an intercessory ministry for their brethren yet on earth. Rejoice to be granted the privilege of so sacred a task. Count it most precious, and guard against the intrusion of distractions. Nothing is more important in My sight of all that ye can do for Me. Cherish it and cultivate it. Live in prayer, and ye shall know a full life of joy and the remuneration of My blessing! - Anonymous

The Holy Trinity Connection Some years ago when I came to Holy Trinity, I felt there was something lacking in my life. Oh, I belonged to a church, and I was very active there. But I just didn't feel "connected". A wise person suggested I try another church and I came to Holy Trinity. When I started to worship here I sensed a fellowship I had not known before. And as the weeks went by, and then the months, I began to feel that Holy Trinity was MY church. I felt CONNECTED. But I realized that I could not support MY church all by MYSELF. I needed others to help with that support. So it really wasn't MY church but it was OUR church. I knew others felt strongly about Holy Trinity and they could not support it alone. I soon realized that I needed a "financial connection." A very important part of my connection to Holy Trinity was worship. I loved the liturgy, I loved the scripture readings, I loved the sermons (most of them), and I loved the prayers. But most of all I loved the presence of those around me. We all came from different backgrounds different work, different ideas, but we had that common bond of worship and it was and still is glorious. When you are not there you are missing the opportunity of worship and I am missing your presence. I can worship alone, but I love having others around me. Now I know I needed a "physical connection." What a privilege it is to join with you in the Holy Eucharist. Kneeling at the altar with you is special. What each of us brings to the altar is quite different, but what we receive there is the same — the spirit of God within us and the joy and love of Christ that shines out of us. I have seen your acts of kindness, felt your love and sensed your commitment. I know that the most important is the "spiritual connection". It isn't the beautiful facility that keeps me at Holy Trinity, but the wonderful fellowship I have with the people. We are all so very different, we don't think alike, we don't look alike, we don't act alike. But we are all children of God and through the amazing grace of Jesus Christ we are saved from our transgressions. Let's don't focus on our differences but with the spirit of God within us and the love of Christ that shines out of us, let's focus on our "connections". — A Person in the Pew
