MINUTES

Vestry Regular Meeting

Thursday, November 15, 2007 

Members Present: Father Mark Cannaday; Anne Hover, clerk; Terry Staub, Debra Chester, Sam Stephens, Russ Robken, Mark Wheeler.   

Members unable to Attend: Carol Armstrong, Junior Warden; Marilyn Allen, Don Olive, Connie Godlevski. 

Guests: Angela Stephens, Treasurer; Neal Allen, Cindy Olive. 

Father Mark called the meeting to order at 5:30.  

The vestry shared with each other their personal updates.  

Father Mark presented the Bible reading from The Gospel of Luke.   

The minutes of the November meeting were approved as corrected. (see attached) 

Angela Stephens, Treasurer presented the financials, see attached. She conducted an information session for the vestry members to learn how to read and understand the balance sheets. (see attached) 

Russ Robken gave the 2008 financial forecast (see attached) Discussion followed. 

Debra Chester read a letter to the Bishop that will be mailed with all the Vestry signatures this week. (see attached). 

Rector Report:

bulletFather Mark moved to appoint Anne Hover to Senior Warden for the remainder of this year. The motion was seconded and passed.
bulletFather Mark discussed the need for Vestry members as greeters during Church services and especially for the Christmas services. Anne will make a sign-up chart for the next vestry meeting.
bulletCindy Olive reported on the Youth program, Nancy’s Place and the Council Systems (see attached reports)
bulletFather Mark appointed out-going vestry members Terry Staub and Anne Hover to the Nominating Committee as per our Canons. They will slate 2 candidates to fill 1 seat on the 2008 Vestry. The 2008 vestry will consist of 9 members as per our Canons.
bulletFather Mark reported that Lucia Gray has resigned from the vestry.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:13PM.
