Blessed

Yes, I am! I’ve been thinking more about blessings lately as I travel down life’s road. Oprah keeps a Gratitude Journal and suggests that we record just five things we’re grateful for or are blessed by each day. Cindy Olive speaks well for UTO asking us to drop coins in a box for each of our blessings. There are many ways to acknowledge our blessings. What do you do? I encourage you to be creative in your counting! I’m taking David Letterman’s approach with My Top Ten Blessings for Today!

#10—I’m blessed by Fr. Mark’s "blessings" on the phone.

#9—I’m blessed by Pat Thames who when asked, "How are you," answers, "I’m blessed."

#8—I’m blessed by the little country church I attended as a child and sang "Count your blessings, name them one by one. . ."

#7—I’m blessed by the benediction of Numbers 6:24-26—"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

#6—I’m blessed by people I see and don’t see.

#5—I’m blessed by working at Holy Trinity with a wonderful staff and great church family.

#4—I’m blessed by a husband, son, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.

#3—I’m blessed with abundance.

#2—I’m blessed with life.

And, the #1 Top Blessing for Today

#1—I’m blessed with the ability to find corny jokes.

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Ach.
Ach who?
Bless you!
