Every Sunday morning spirits respond to the music of corporate worship as the choirs lead and inspire us in singing God’s praises. The Music Ministry at Holy Trinity provides a program of graduate choirs which gives people of all ages an opportunity to grow in faith and Christian leadership through music. It is a comprehensive program which will prepare our children, young people and adults for a lifetime of service to Jesus Christ and His Church. The choir experience includes the teaching of great hymns and anthems of the Church, skills in singing and music reading, and special fellowship activities. Each of our choirs is open to and encourages new members, both the greatly experienced and the dedicated and sincere beginner. The only qualification is a true desire to be of service to God and the Church.
Musikgarten Classes Different curriculums are taught through-out the year. "Family Music for Babies" starts off the very young with singing, bouncing, rocking and touching...all of the things which encourage even the youngest of children to learn and feel secure in their environment. "Family Music for Toddlers" takes the children further in their exploration of music and movement, learning new songs as well as some of the old favorites. The class offered for our kindergarten age children is "Gods Children Sing", which centers around Bible stories like the creation and Noah's Ark, while combining the aspects of animals and nature that children of this age can relate to. Babies love music and respond at a very early age! Moms/caregivers come together with their children for a half hour of fun with music and rhythm. This is a very special time in your child's development, not just musically, but in all aspects of their lives...moving, listening and experiencing many new things. There is child care available for your other children so that you can have one on one time with your precious toddlers as they explore their new world.
The Junior Choristers The Junior Choristers begin chorister training in 1st grade and continue through eighth grade, singing primarily at the 10:00am service on the first Sunday of the month. Rehearsals are on Wednesday afternoons, 5:00pm-5:30pm in the Choir Room during the school year. The Adult Choristers The Adult Choristers provide music at the 10:00am service (alternating with the Junior Choristers) and present special oratorios, festival services and musical programs.
