"Sharing the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ with all people" Holy Trinity Episcopal Church MINUTES Vestry Regular Meeting Thursday, June 21, 2007 Members Present: Father Mark Cannaday, Father Andy Powell, Anne Hover, clerk; Bill Wallace, Lea Crump, Carol Armstrong, Julie Harvey, Chip Smith, Bill Holmes. Members unable to Attend: Bill Granberry, Sr. Warden; Terry Staub, Lucia Gray, Marilyn Allen, Rick Menchaca,. Father Mark called the meeting to order at 5:30. The vestry shared with each other their personal updates. Father Mark presented the Bible reading from Hebrews. The minutes of the May meeting were approved as printed. Father Mark announced that Kim Henderson has resigned as treasurer. Bill Wallace moved to nominate Angela Stephens for Treasurer of the Vestry. The motion was seconded and passed. Chip Smith presented the Treasurers report. See attached.
Father Mark reported that:
Carol Armstrong, Junior Warden gave a fire/security system update. She presented a full report with bids (see attached). Carol moved to accept the bids from Homeland Security for both the security system for the church and for CDO as well as for the fire alarm system for the church and for CDO with total fee for both systems not to exceed $36,414.75. The motion was seconded. Discussion followed. Bill Wallace moved to amend the motion by adding the words "contingent upon funds available from the restricted money given by the Lindley Memorial gift". The amended motion was seconded and failed. Anne Hover moved to amend the (main) motion by adding the words "contingent upon funds available". The amended motion died for lack of a second. Carol’s main motion was thus considered. The motion passed. Bill Wallace reported on Holy Trinity’s Insurance. He recommended no changes to our current policy. He announced that all entities of Holy Trinity including Mother’s Day Out, VBS, Musikgarten, the Youth House, and Nancy’s Place are covered under our insurance policy, however no athletics such as skiing, swimming, basketball, etc are covered at this time. Anne Hover will call the Klemme’s and give them this information and ask them to provide waivers when necessary. A discussion followed pertaining to Workman’s Compensation. Bill Wallace moved to switch the carrier of our Workman’s Compensation insurance from the Church Insurance Agency Corp. to the agency of Stewart Marlock which is carried by Zurich. The motion was seconded and passed. Father Mark will give Joyce the Zurich paperwork to file. Next Meeting: Agenda Setting: August 2; Regular Meeting: August 16 There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:20PM.
