Minutes from the Regular Meeting of the Vestry

Thursday, January 18, 2007

MEMBERS PRESENT:  Jim Newman, Frank McCabe, Eric Hanson, Katy Brunner, Anne Hover, John Holmes, Marilynn Allen, Chip Smith, Rick Menchaca, Father Mark Cannaday and Father Andy Powell. 

MEMBERS ABSENT:  Terry Staub, Bill Granberry and Mike Senich 

OBSERVERS:  Liza Philpy, and Deborah Chester 

Father Mark Cannaday called the meeting together at 5:35pm opening with a prayer and share time. Jim Newman led us in short bible lesson—Mark 4:21-34. 

The minutes of the December 21, 2006 meeting were approved.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT: Chip Smith

bullet99.7% of pledges have been collected as compared to 101.4% at 12/31/05 and 97.3% at 12/31/04.

 

bulletMonth to date for 12/31/06: Income received $159,628, expenses of $81,755, resulting in an under expenditure of $77,873.

 

bulletYear to date income $825,390, expenses of $843,811, resulting in an (over) expenditure of ($18,421).

 

The financial statements were approved as presented.

The regular meeting of the vestry moved into Executive Session @ 6:30pm. 

The regular meeting of the Vestry continued @ 7:38pm. 

A motion was made and seconded to establish a fund for retaining counsel. The motion was approved. 

The Fiscal Affairs Committee amended the 2007 approved budget. The Fiscal Affairs Committee recommends that the approved 2007 budget be amended and this approved amended budget be presented to the membership at the Annual Parish Meeting. The motion was approved. 

The regular meeting of the Vestry was adjourned at 7:43pm. 

The next Vestry meeting will be Thursday, February 15, 2007.  The agenda setting meeting will be Thursday, February 1, 2007.
