The Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity Vestry Minutes February 14, 2008 Don Olive called the meeting to order at 6:45pm. Connie Godlevski passed out prayers to begin the meeting. Present: Connie Godlevski, Sam Stephens, Russ Robken, Terry Jolliffe, Jim Newman, Deborah Chester, Don Olive, Orman Hubbard, Carol Armstrong Absent: Mark Wheeler, Marilyn Allen The minutes were reviewed and approved. Jody reported that the vestry needs to elect a chancellor, treasurer and representatives to the Holy Trinity Trust. Don Olive, Deborah Chester and Jody Gilles reported on their meeting with the Standing Committee in Lubbock on February 13, 2008. The climate was friendly and a productive discussion followed. While Holy Trinity’s apportionment has not been reduced to zero, the Standing committee will make efforts to see that the new apportionment will be reasonable. The Standing Committee was very happy to learn that their names will be added to our mailing list keeping them informed of our weekly parish activities. Jody presented a resolution to the Standing Committee asking that all parishes in the Diocese be given voice and vote in the coming election of the new bishop. The resolution was well received, and members of the committee requested copies. Until an interim rector can be hired, Fr. Whitman will preside at the Sunday 10:00am and Monday 5:15pm services. Fr. Slayter and Fr. Bonnington will split the other services between them. The vestry discussed the possibility of replacing some of the smaller services with morning/evening prayer. Names are still being collected for the position of interim rector. After prayer, the meeting adjourned at 7:50pm. Next meeting: Thursday, February 21 at 6:30 (Parish Hall). Respectfully submitted, Terry Jolliffe Clerk of the Vestry
