Thank You! As I sit totally exhausted from "Splash" day and our last day of the summer program, I can’t help but count my many blessings – a hundred and ten to be exact. There’s Cole who is always so eager to greet me with his distinct "Hello, Karen", Kaitlin who shared a piece of her prized piñata candy, Ethan who takes everyday as a challenge to do his best, Joseph’s smile that could melt anyone’s heart, and many, many more. We had a wonderful and successful summer, and although I relish the break, I am eager to begin the fall session. Holy Trinity Children’s Day Out has an exciting and challenging year ahead. We are beginning the school year as a licensed "daycare". This is the state’s way of saying we can do business five days a week. We wouldn’t have the opportunity to take this step without all of your help. Holy Trinity’s continued support in our program has allowed us to grow. Many of you have noticed the new playground surface and the alarm and fire system upgrades. These improvements keep us moving forward. You are by far my greatest blessing. With your continued support you allow me to have my hundred and ten little blessings. Thank you!! Karen Parnell, Director Holy Trinity’s Children Day Out

WOMEN'S RETREAT September 28-30, 2007 Bishop Quarterman Conference Center, Amarillo, Texas The Reverend Susan Sims-Smith from the Diocese of Arkansas will join us to lead a weekend retreat for women. Her ministry is called Seedwork. SeedWork was created to enliven the faith of those within the church, to reach out to those who are unchurched, and to restore relationships with those who have felt hurt by the church. It is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas. Before becoming ordained as an Episcopal priest, The Rev. Sims-Smith worked for 25 years as a psychotherapist. She has taught extensively on dreams, committed relationships, and prayer and meditation. This workshop examines how dreams communicate the needs of the soul as participants prayerfully seek God's guidance to live their lives. The rich spiritual discipline of understanding dreams and seeking to live in harmony with the messages they bring can enrich lives with comfort, challenge, and practical solutions to problems of daily life. For more information about her work please go to: http://www.seedwork.org/index.html. Registration information: Paula Howbert , 432-697-6536, pfhowbert@prodigy.net
Church: Locked Doors, Cameras & Intercoms! Because of security needs, Holy Trinity has three locked doors each with an intercom and camera. These are to be used during business hours.
If you arrive and the doors are locked, just push the intercom button, speak and release the button and wait for someone to speak to you. They will be able to see you on the camera, recognize you and release the lock and you may enter. If you have an ongoing need, and wish to enter through one of these three-programmed doors, we can issue a card that can be used to gain entrance during hours needed. Keys continue to work on all other doors. Doors will be programmed to be open for all services, and Wednesday evening activities. If you have a key, you can still enter through non-programmed doors. One more thing—to exit the building through one of these three doors, you will need to hit the "Door Exit" button to the side (right or left) of each door. To exit any other door, push open and the door locks behind you as always. CDO! Their doors will be accessible through intercom or with a card. They, too, will be open for all church services and programs as needed.
