Still Playing People always come up and ask how our Children’s Day Out program is going. Since we have all of our activities during the week, not many people know all that is happening with the children. Let me share with you all the wonderful things at CDO. We have received our official license with the state as a childcare facility. This has given us the opportunity to provide a full week for our preschool program. Our program as a whole has grown from an average of 50 children in years past to 68 children this year. The Thanksgiving Feast had to be split into two times to make room for all the families – it was amazing! The year has already flown by with Halloween, class pictures, vision and hearing screenings, Thanksgiving, Christmas, lots of cold weather, fire drills, Valentines, Dr. Seuss and Easter. It is through hard work and dedication from the teachers and parents that continue to make this a loving and educational place to bring small children. This has been a challenging year with increased illnesses in the children as well as staff. Our current economy has also challenged us to find ways to continue to provide a program that is still competitive in price with other children's programs in Midland and also give the teachers a much needed pay increase. Although how challenging some days may be, we are blessed to have wonderful teachers and a very competitive program. Come share in our Annual Fundraiser, April 6. We have been collecting items for our themed baskets all year long and they are fabulous. (We will also have note cards for sale!) There will be displays and information on the Children’s Day Out program. This is your opportunity to learn more and ask questions about this great weekly happening at Holy Trinity. All money earned goes back into our program to make repairs and purchase supplies.
