Easter Hymn Christ Jesus lay in death's strong bands, for our offenses given; but now at God's right hand He stands and brings us life from heaven; therefore let us joyful be and sing to God right thankfully loud songs of Hallelujah. It was strange and dreadful strife when life and death contended; the victory remained with Life, the reign of Death was ended; Holy Scripture plainly saith that Death is swallowed up by Death, his sting is lost forever. Then let us feast this Easter Day on Christ, the Bread of Heaven; the Word of Grace hath purged away the old and evil leaven. Christ alone our souls will feed. He is our meat and drink indeed; faith lives upon no other. —Martin Luther

Come see the THE WATOTO CHILDREN’S CHOIR Since 1994 Watoto Children’s Choirs have toured internationally as ambassadors for Watoto Child Care Ministries, a holistic orphan care program based in Kampala, Uganda. "Concerts of Hope" inform people of Watoto’s vital work and afford audiences the opportunity to participate in restoring hope and dignity to some of Africa’s most needy children. The choir consists of eighteen boys and girls who have lost one or both of their parents, however, they now live in homes built by Watoto Child Care Ministries. Accompanying the children is a group of adults from Uganda who supervise and care for the children while on the road. The choir’s music and multimedia presentation is a soulful fusion of gospel and contemporary African style. Dressed in colorful costume, the children’s enthusiastic song and energetic dance. Wednesday, May 2, we will meet at 6:30pm on the Holy Trinity Playground and caravan over to True Lite Christian Fellowship. Please email dedee@holytrinity.org if you plan on attending. All Holy Trinity Children's programs will end at 6:30pm that evening so that everyone can go to the program. This promises to be a wonderful event and a great cultural experience for everyone, but especially the children. Please join us! See what others have said about the Watoto Children's Choir— "Thank you for coming to the White House and for your inspiring performance in the Rose Garden. Your happy faces and cheerful music brightened the day for everyone." - Laura Bush, the First Lady of the United States "Watoto Child Care's work is clearly an important contribution to the future of these children and of Uganda." - Colin Powell, former Secretary of State for the United States "We had the honor of Watoto Children's Choir performing at our conference. What an inspiration they were. We are always blessed when we see God use those which society has pushed aside for +His glory." - Joyce Meyer, Joyce Meyer Ministries
