Councils, Councils everywhere! How do I get to be a part of one?

Well, we're glad you asked!

Our Council System of Holy Trinity is the "skeleton" of our Parish. We've been hearing a lot of reference to the "dry bones" from Ezekiel 37, "Lord, can these bones live?" YES THEY CAN! And how do they do that? They come together and form the skeleton so that they can have structure and be functional as a body. There are 206 bones in the human body and each one of them is important - even the tiniest one, found in the ear. We all represent a bone in this framework called a Parish.

Think for a minute...what would it be like, walking around without a hipbone? Would we be the same if several of our vertebrae were missing? How could the hand stay attached if there were no arm bones? Getting the idea? We are all important as the body of Christ. And we all have different functions at Holy Trinity, just as parts of the body do. Ephesians 4:16, "From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."

Come join together on Sunday, April 27 at 9:00am (Adult Education hour), in the Parish Hall for the ALL PARISH POW-WOW. This time is dedicated to YOU, the Parish of Holy Trinity. All of the councils and opportunities will be represented, so you can look at all of the choices we have to "Share the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ will all people." Come find out what part of the body you are and how we are all connected here at Holy Trinity.

Love,

The Growing and Serving Core Team

Children’s Chapel

Children from ages three to seven enjoy Sunday services in our "little church". The children’s chapel is located in the courtyard of the outside education wing. This is an opportunity for the children to become acolytes, ushers and song leaders. The children’s worship service begins at 10am every Sunday morning. Chapel leaders follow a child-oriented liturgy and the children are brought into "big church" during the Peace. Please contact Karen Parnell at 413-0331 if you would like to volunteer as a chapel leader or for more information.

There will be five areas of interest to which you can attend and share your ideas and input. These areas are: Membership and Community which provides areas of fellowship; Liturgy and Worship which provides our worship; Pastoral Care which reaches out to parishioners in need; Education which provides spiritual growth to our members and community and, finally, Mission and Outreach which reaches out to our community.

Please join us. Your ideas are important and needed for the growth of Holy Trinity.
